Servers against Covid-19 – We donate the use of our servers at Folding@Home

We are a Startup that bases its fundamental values ​​on people – to be more precise – in the people’s stories that are turned into themed routes through the city, on your mobile device. As is the case with many other businesses, the current COVID-19 pandemic, not only has served as a reminder of how fragile life can be, but has also forced us to take a break from what is our normal activity: motivating people to get on the street.

At eXplorins we care about community, and as we all say: “the entrepeneurial sector won’t be intimidated by the Coronavirus”, so we want to promote our initiative “Servers against COVID-19″:

  • What does «Servers against Covid-19» mean?stanford university

    It consists in the donation of free capacity of servers and processors for the investigation of a vaccine against Coronavirus:

Stanford University’s Folding@Home project, centered on the investigation of diseases has developed a software to connect to their Machine Learning calculation system, which requires millions of folders and server space to advance.

The team at Folding@Home uses donated capacity to find cures for diseases like cancer, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Influenza, and many more; and in these coming weeks, they will be dedicating all their GPU’s to the fight against COVID-19, simulating COVID-19’s protein dynamics to find new therapeutical opportunities.   • How does it work?

folder@homeIn layman’s terms, the system works like Bitcoin Mining, but focused on common welfare. The team at Folding@Home provides a small program to download (for Windows, Mac, or Linux) where you can choose the volume and computing time to donate, as to not interfere with other tasks.
